FAQs

Who should seek Chiropractic Services?

If you have been in a motor vehicle accident, have a sports or work related injury, are in constant pain that cannot be medically explained, or are simply going through growing pains—then come see us! Chiropractic treatment is used to treat various neuromusculoskeletal complaints, which can include back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, plantar fasciitis, and frozen shoulder—just to name a few. Chiropractic adjustments benefit the body by improving nerve, blood, and lymphatic circulation, while also preserving and restoring muscle and joint health. We believe that pain should not be a lifestyle and encourage individuals to come see us for regular maintenance.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Typically during the first visit, the Doctors will discuss your medical history, current lifestyle habits, and the reason for your visit before performing a comprehensive diagnostic exam. This diagnostic exam will involve testing your range of motion, muscle tone, muscle strength, and neurological integrity. After your assessment, they will then discuss with you, in depth, your treatment options and then proceed with providing you the best possible chiropractic care. (We also recommend wearing work out clothes or basically clothes that you can move in!)

Generally the first appointment  lasts about 45min to an hour, and we recommend downloading the intake forms (found on our home page) and bringing them with you, otherwise arrive at least 10min early to your exam. There is a paid parking lot in the back of the building (enter from Catalina), but we unfortunately do not validate. Street parking is also available—pay attention to street signs!

Will it hurt?

Everybody is different! Some patients do experience slight discomfort during treatment—don’t be afraid of communicating your pain and fears to the doctors! They will listen and explain the process to you step by step to ensure that they are providing you with the best care possible. Some patients may also experience mild soreness or aching following treatments (like you would after exercising), but that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours. Of course if you are in pain and have questions—don’t hesitate to give us a call! The doctors are always willing to answer your questions and concerns.
